Judge Branstool has a demonstrated track record of ensuring the fair and impartial administration of justice, while treating everyone with dignity and ensuring that victims’ rights are protected throughout the entire criminal justice process.

Judge Branstool believes that meaningful involvement is essential to both understand the needs of the community and to be a part of the solution.

He has supported the local community through a wide array of groups and activities over the years. From coaching youth sports, judging and providing feedback on projects, and volunteering, Judge Branstool has done it all in the name of bettering the community.

You can also see this commitment to meaningful involvement in his professional community. Judge Branstool believes that he and every member of the legal profession has a duty to continually deepen their understanding of the law and to pass that knowledge on to others. Judge Branstool has conducted training for:

  • the Ohio Judicial College
  • bar associations
  • judicial conferences

In addition, he has presented educational topics to a wide variety of audiences of other judges, attorneys, law enforcement and treatment professionals.

He is also a member of the Licking County Bar Association, the Columbus Bar Association, the Ohio State Bar Association and the American Bar Association. He serves on the Jury Service and Criminal Law and Procedure Committee of the Ohio Judicial Conference.
